Adult Victory Garden Course - BUGS

BUGS is pleased to announce a partnership with Peaceful Belly’s 35 week victory garden intern course. This hands-on course will be taught by Clay and Josie Erskine will take place at two locations, one of them at the BUGS garden, one at Hidden Springs. Course includes: Starting all plants from seed, composting, compost teas, building fences, creating an irrigation system, garden planning, trellising, equipment maintenance, succession planting, pest control, crop rotation, companion planting, weeding, harvesting and much more. The course is 35 weeks at $400 for entire course. Begins in March, goes through October. 3 hours each week (Monday’s 5-8pm) and an additional hour on maintenance, weeding, watering. In addition you will have the opportunity if interested to integrate into existing BUGS programs and work with BUGS students, BSU students, and more. Food produced in the garden will be shared among victory garden students, BUGS programs, and BUGS farm stand.
